Well, there have been many changes in educational technology since the mid 1990s. The speed of broadband Internet has doubled many times. The idea of every K-12 student having a laptop computer and/or some other digital device, is accepted as a natural direction which all schools will eventually aspire to. Personally, going back to school for a teaching credential seemed to be the best way to stay abreast with this new field of "educational technology", which I had become so passionate about. That journey took me to The Gillispie School where I designed and implemented one of the first elementary school one-to-one laptop programs in Southern California. From there I was honored as an Apple Distinguished Educator and The Gillispie School received the Leading Edge Award in Technology Innovation from N.A.I.S., the National Association of Independent Schools.
